REQUESTS FROM CHANGE OKLAHOMA!
Please contact your State Senator regarding House Bill 1326 and ask them to vote NO. The bill defines an embryo as a single-celled organism; this bill makes it a crime to donate single-celled eggs or the discarded in-vitro embryos (non-viable) for Embryonic Stem Cell Research which could produce possible cures for various diseases including M.S., Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Huntingtons, etc. A side effect of this bill would be to prohibit Oklahoma from attracting top-notch researchers to our state. Join Change Oklahoma! as we Walk The Zoo in support of the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS) on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00am – 11:00am. Contact Lucy Fraser OKC @ 488-1300.
Oklahoma House Speaker Chris Benge is attempting to eliminate the Elderly and Long Term Committee. If he is successful this will leave no dedicated panel to study legislation effecting older Oklahomans. The AARP along with Change Oklahoma are asking you to call House Speaker Chris Benge at 405-557-7340 to protest the move.
Join Oklahomans for HealthCare Reform for a Rally at the State Capitol on April 21st 12:30pm. For Details See: http://www.okhealthcarereform.com/index.html.
